The Prologue Shredder is a Monster in CrossCode. They can be encountered in Old Hideout.
Appearance
The Prologue Shredder is a metal robot resembling a humanoid upper torso and head. It floats on rings of orange energy. It is made of dark grey metal with red highlights. It is physically identical to its counterparts, the stronger Shredder and the weaker Alpha Shredder; while the Shredder uses different attacks, the Alpha Shredder is identical in all ways except for stats.
Combat
During combat, the Prologue Shredder will follow the player closely and attempt to attack them. Their attack has three parts. First they dash forward towards the player, stopping just short of them if they are close enough. They then charge their attack, briefly flashing red. They finish with a powerful melee slash. The attack sequence is vulnerable to being disrupted while they are flashing red.
Strategies
The Prologue Shredders encountered in the Old Hideout require no special strategy to defeat, due to Shizuka's substantially higher level at the time.
