Ghost Sharkster

A ghostly image formed by the Cursed Sharkster. They can't be hurt but you can interrupt their attacks to keep them off you for a while.

-Monster Fibula report

Appearance

Ghost Sharksters are skeletal sharks comprised purely of white cartilage. Their skulls have hollow eye sockets with small red dots inside them, along with two protrusions in front of their jaw.

Combat

This enemy acts like a simplified Sharkster. It always stays burrowed under the sand until it either attacks or jumps out randomly. Its only attack is flashing red and jumping through the player, and it can be broken and stunned by hitting it with a charged Ball whenever it jumps out of the sand or countered when it attacks, leaving it flailing around until it recovers. Despite this, it is completely invincible and the only way to get rid of it is to fill the Cursed Sharkster's treasure chest with 100 coins, which causes it to vanish instantly.

Strategies

Their whole purpose is being a minor nuisance during the Cursed Sharkster boss fight. Keep them broken so they don't block your attacks or attack you back.

Locations

Maroon Valley
  • Treasure Room (Infinite, x1 at a time during Cursed Sharkster's 1st phase, x2 during 2nd phase)
