The Behesloth is an organic enemy in CrossWorlds. They can be found in Gaia's Garden.

Behesloth

The embodiment of laziness itself. This huge sloth is a friendly fella, mostly moving around on its stomach and eating plants or mushrooms. If provoked it will stand on its feet to attack with a huge swing or spin extremely fast and dash at its aggressors. This attack can be counter blocked but it is very risky.

-Monster Fibula report

Appearance

A giant sloth with armour on its jaw, forehead, front claws, feet, hind legs and back. The armour has purple accents.

Combat

Behesloths are armoured everywhere except on their belly, greatly reducing damage from any attack.

It only has two attacks, one where it stands on its hind legs and lashes out with one of its claws, and one where it curls up in a ball and rolls at the player at high speed. When it stands up, the player can hit its belly enough times to break the Behesloth and force it to lay on its back for a short period of time, which allows the player to attack with full damage. After that time passes, however, the Behesloth charges electricity and hops in place, recovering balance and causing a small shockwave around itself. Even then, it becomes breakable again the instant it begins to charge, so the player can break it again before it gets the chance to stand up once more. On another note, if timed correctly, its rolling attack can be Countered.

Strategies

It is best to fight Behesloth at a distance, relying on Perfect Guarding to create openings where you can deal a lot of damage. Combat Arts such as Kindling Fanfare and Ignite Embers are proved to be very effective. Be wary of its small hop when it is about to recover, specially in case you don't attack fast enough to break it before it does. If you are underleveled you could also try to Burn it to deal the majority of the damage.

  • Its name is a portmanteau between behemoth and sloth.
