Leggy Angler
'
The Leggy Angler is an organic enemy in CrossWorlds. They can be encountered in areas of Gaia's Garden as part of the previously Playstation-exclusive quest Foul Play.
Appearance
The Leggy Angler is a medium sized walking fish, similar in appearance to the real-world anglerfish it was named after. Similar to the Angler it is primarily coloured in dark teal and light green, with glowing white eyes and a bulb hanging in front of its head, except it has a robotized bottom half including legs instead of fins.
Combat
Contrary to the Angler, the Leggy Angler doesn’t have any ranged attacks. Instead, it attacks the player with flying kicks. After hitting it enough times, it breaks and begins to prepare an attack. It covers itself in a Wave aura, teleports, and attacks with a flying kick. It repeats this move once and becomes vulnerable. Hitting it in this state breaks and stuns it. Leggy Anglers also don’t take damage from falling into water.
Strategies
Use balls to break it first, dodge twice, and pummel it with Shock. They can be bothersome in groups, but there is no normal enemy that cannot be beaten by combat arts. Focus only on one at a time and ensure you have a big area for dodging their kicks. If you stun one, don’t push it into the water because it will get back up and begin attacking again.
