Contrary to its name, few things it does are actually random. It goes through the following sequence:
Its attack cycle actually follows a set pattern. First, it rolls a random number from 1 to 4 and uses a super attack once, wearing a shield while doing so. Second, it uses its normal attack of the same element twice. Third, it rolls a 6 and attacks with every super attack in a specific order (Heat, Cold, Wave and Shock), also wearing a shield until its finished. And fourth, it rolls a 5, becoming both harmless and defenseless until it rolls again and repeats the cycle. When it reaches half health, three white cubes will float around it before it uses a normal attack. If the player tries to hit it in this situation, it does an “escape roll” and rolls from 1 to 4 again, and if it is hit again without completing its cycle, it rolls a 6. Arengee is invincible while rolling the dice.

1) Roll random element (1: cold, 2: shock, 3: heat, 4: wave).
Its normal attacks are like this:
*Cold: Fires four bouncing, slightly homing ice shards.
*Heat: Fires six small fireballs with better homing capabilities than the ice shards.
*Shock: Fires two electric spheres that stay in place before launching themselves towards the player.
*Wave: Fires two slightly homing Wave projectiles out of its sides.

2) Use elemental super attack once (wears a shield while doing so).
For its super attacks, it fires a colored cube that deals no contact damage and does something different depending on the element:
*Cold: A homing proximity bomb that explodes in a Y pattern.
*Heat: Same as Cold, but it explodes in bursts of flames instead.
*Shock: The cube zips into the player’s position and summons a thunder, three times.
*Wave: A fragmented grenade that explodes as soon as it hits the floor, releasing four smaller bombs.

2,5) If under 1/2 health, it will spin cubes around itself. If hit while doing so, it will use "escape roll" and go back to 1), if hit again in the same cycle it will skip to 4).

Defeat this enemy by attacking it while it isn't using super attacks and don't let it "escape roll" when it reaches half health since it grants it way more invincibility than necessary, extending the fight. Try applying Status Conditions whenever its shield is on, for example Chill will make all of its phases slower and longer, including its vulnerable phases, and Burn can lower its health even when it is protected by its shield.
3) Use elemental normal attack 2 or 3 times.

It might go back to 1) at this point (if attacked enough?), but not more than once in a cycle.

4) Roll a 6: all elemental supers in this order: heat, cold, wave, shock. (wears a shield while doing so)

5) Roll a 5: harmless and defenseless for a short while!

Repeat from 1).

Here are its attacks:

Cold super: homing proximity bomb, explodes in a three-way series of ground spikes. Wait for it to close in, dash twice through it to set it off, save one dash to adjust for the spike lines.

Cold normal: a small number of slightly homing "hail flurry" spikes, each will rebound once. Stay close to the wall it will rebound from.

Shock super: a cube (no contact damage) zips to you 3 times, summoning lightning each time. Dash away once each time, beware not to overdash in panic.

Shock normal: generates two lightning balls that hold still for an instant then zip to you in succession. If you're far enough, you don't even need to dash.

Heat super: homing proximity bomb, explodes in a large blaze. Wait for it to close in, dash thrice to set it off and avoid the blaze.

Heat normal: a small number of mid-strongly homing flames. Avoid by staying close to the arengee and dodging when it fires.

Wave super: homing lobbed bomb, explodes in mid-sized blast and four non-homing lobbed bombs that will land around the blast and cause more blasts. Wait for it to close in, dash twice to clear the blast, dash back towards the impact point to avoid the other blasts.

Wave normal: shoots 2 simultaneous mildly homing waves. Avoid by staying near melee range, the waves will curve around you harmlessly.

The Arengee is an abstract enemy in CrossWorlds. It can be encountered in Vermillion Wasteland and Vermillion Tower.

Arengee

This dice is a sentient robot. The core processor being able to use all elements based on the number it rolls. It seems to take enjoyment in the game of chance, even if it means it will be left open for attacks.

-Monster Fibula report

Appearance

Arengee is a floating, brown six-sided dice with yellow corners and a ragged, burgundy robe attached to its bottom half. Its sides, which count from 1 to 6, are hidden until it attacks once. The side with one pip is blue, the one with two pips purple, three pips orange, four green, five black and six is a mix of the first four colors. The colors represent the element it will use in its attacks.

Combat

Its normal attacks are like this:

 • Cold: Fires four bouncing, slightly homing ice shards.
 • Heat: Fires six small fireballs with better homing capabilities than the ice shards.
 • Shock: Fires two electric spheres that stay in place before launching themselves towards the player.
 • Wave: Fires two slightly homing Wave projectiles out of its sides.

For its super attacks, it fires a colored cube that deals no contact damage and does something different depending on the element:

 • Cold: A homing proximity bomb that explodes in a Y pattern.
 • Heat: Same as Cold, but it explodes in bursts of flames instead.
 • Shock: The cube zips into the player’s position and summons a thunder, three times.
 • Wave: A fragmented grenade that explodes as soon as it hits the floor, releasing four smaller bombs.

Strategies

Defeat this enemy by attacking it while it isn't using super attacks and don't let it "escape roll" when it reaches half health since it grants it way more invincibility than necessary, extending the fight. Try applying Status Conditions whenever its shield is on, for example Chill will make all of its phases slower and longer, including its vulnerable phases, and Burn can lower its health even when it is protected by its shield.
