The Root Cause is a level 42 quest given by Dr. Lou Cretia at Gaia's Garden - Rite of Passage. This quest is required to progress in the story, and to access Grand Krys'kajo.
Tasks
- Follow Dr. Cretia to the power plant at the Zir'vitar Temple Entrance
- Follow Dr. Cretia to her office at the Zir'vitar Temple
- Talk to Dr. Cretia at the Zir'vitar temple Entrance
- Defeat the strange pole and the Wiccat
- Talk to Dr. Cretia at the Zir'vitar Temple Entrance again
- Find a way to defeat the pole at the Zir'vitar Temple Entrance
- Defeat the other pole at the Zir'vitar Temple Entrance
- Talk to Dr. Cretia at the Zir'vitar Temple Entrance
- Follow the trail of poles south of Zir'vitar Temple Entrance
- Follow the poles to the east of Old Timber
- Follow the poles to the north of Lost Lookout
- Follow the poles to the north of Infested Marshes South
- Defeat the ExeRepair(error++); at the Infested Marches North
- Follow the poles north of Infested Marshes North
- Follow the creature into the cave at Infested Heart
- Defeat Sephisloth, the root of all evil
- Report back to Dr. Cretia in her lab at Zir'vitar Temple Entrance
